Live M65 traffic updates as rush hour crash closes lanes causing miles of delays
There are huge delays on the M65 this morning following a rush-hour crash a rush hour crash.
Two lanes are closed on the eastbound carriageway between junction three for Blackburn West and junction four for Darwen and Blackburn South. Lanes one and two, of three, are closed and congestion is back to junction two for the M61 and Clayton Brook. The crash is adding around half and hour to journey times and there is around three miles of congestion in the area. Traffic monitoring service reports that there is also queueing traffic on the westbound carriageway 'as drivers slow down to look at the incident'.A spokesperson for National Highways said: "2 lanes are closed on the #M65 eastbound between J3 and J4 #Blackburn due to a collision.
"There is around 3 miles of congestion on the approach to the closure which is adding about half an hour onto normal journey times."
