Emergency services were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway of the M8, near Harthill, shortly after 4pm on Monday, October 17.
Officers locked down the scene for more than five hours after the crash, which involved a grey Renault Trafic SL28, a Volkswagen Crafter van and the 26-year-old pedestrian. The injured man was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are now keen to speak with any rush hour motorists who may have dash cam footage that could assist with their probe. “We would be especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
