Flight Centre is in the market to raise $180 million from institutional investors at $14.60 a share on Tuesday.
Stockbrokers UBS and Macquarie Capital have underwritten the deal and were seeking buyers on Tuesday morning.
The placement was at a 7.8 per cent discount to the last close and represented a 6.2 per cent of existing shares on issue.Flight Centre has a deal to acquire Scott Dunn for $211 million on an enterprise value basis. Bids into the placement were due by close of business on Tuesday. It would be followed by a share purchase plan to raise up to another $40 million.
