Mackenzie Crook is lining up an entire series of Worzel Gummidge following its ratings success over Christmasand the day after attracted 4.8million and 4.1million viewers respectively. In an exclusive chat before the specials were screened, Mackenzie said: “The BBC are very happy with what we have delivered.”Barbara Euphan Todd’s creation WorzelHe added: “I was collecting half a dozen stories for a hypothetical series. Whether it happens like that or whether there will be more specials I don’t know yet. But there’s a wealth of material in the books and stuff that occurs to me too.
