After eight years in West Bridgford , a well-known sports shop is closing its doors to customers and setting up shop elsewhere. Mad Dog Sports , in Exchange Road, will be making the move to Bingham in a couple of months.

The announcement of the store's closure was made in a Facebook post to its loyal customers. In a post on January 16, it said: “After 8+ great years on Exchange Road, it is time for Mad Dog Sports to move to pastures new. We will be moving to the lovely, lively, and vibrant Bingham just off the Buttercross Market Square in early March 2025.”

He said: “We are very excited and incredibly positive about moving to Bingham because of its huge amount of free parking, friendly atmosphere with its busy, bustling town environment, great selection of shops, many fully independent like ourselves, and becoming fully involved with existing businesses to become a valuable member of the successful community.”
