Madonna says she's 'on the road to recovery' after being rushed to hospital during rehearsals for her upcoming world tour. The singer's family were said to be 'preparing for the worst' after the 64-year-old pop icon was found unconscious in New York at the end of June.
In an Instagram post, Madonna said: “Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. "My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.
Top showbiz news A source told the PA news agency in June that Madonna was recuperating at home and “feeling better”. Her Celebration Tour was set to start in North America before heading over to Europe.
