Eurovision princess Mae Muller talks about her experience at the song contest 🎤
, she’s remained in high spirits ever since, holding her head up high while returning to the stage.
On Sunday June 11, the musician appeared at the Capital Summertime Ball with Barclaycard as a surprise performer, speaking exclusively withWhen asked about what it was like interacting with everyone backstage, Mae admitted that one might have assumed that it would be ‘competitive and weird’… but it wasn’t the case.
‘The backstage… it’s a contest so you might think it would be competitive and weird but it was so lovely,’ she shared.‘Every time you ran into someone it was just like, “Hey girl, oh my god.” It just felt very fan-girly. ‘I mean, I was fangirling for sure, so it was a very nice energy backstage and it felt like everyone just wanted everyone to win and you wanted to see each other do well, so that was really nice.’
While it may have been a light-hearted atmosphere, it was still a gruelling experience for the artist.
