Married at First Sight viewers have been quick to slam the show’s double standards, after Porscha Pernelle and Terence Edwards became the first couple to leave the experiment in the wake of a tense cheating scandal.
Discussing the situation with the show’s experts during the third commitment ceremony of the series on Wednesday, 11 October, Terence opened up about how he felt before confessing he no longer wished to take part in the experiment and wanted to bring his marriage to Porscha to an end. Porscha then told the experts she thought Terence was “making a knee jerk decision” based on the opinions of others rather than himself, something which prompted an epic clap back from Terence.While many fans at home agreed with the decision to leave the experiment, with several even celebrating the couple’s exit, one common theme among fans was how Porscha had been vilified for “cheating” whereas, the men she kissed had seemingly got away with it scot free.
