'MAGAbomber' Cesar Sayoc pleaded guilty to 65 charges related to bombs he sent to President Donald Trump's political rivals.
Sayoc, 56, pleaded guilty to 65 charges, including use of a weapon of mass destruction and illegal mailing of explosives at a court hearing in Manhattan Thursday, four months after denying 30 terror charges.MAGAbomber Cesar Sayoc pictured after his arrest on terrorism charges last OctoberThe bomber, branded a ‘domestic terrorist’ by prosecutors, is believed to have struck a plea deal after being warned he faced life without parole if convicted on all counts he was charged with.
Sayoc’s other targets included former President Barack Obama, CNN and Democrat Representative Maxine Waters – all of whom have been heavily criticized by President Trump.He also targeted former Vice President Joe Biden, and actor Robert DeNiro, famed for being one of the most vociferous celebrity critics of the Trump Administration.
Many of his packages included photographs of its intended recipients with a red ‘X’ over their faces, which prosecutors have claimed represented a further threat to those individuals. One of the ‘viable’ packages sent to CNN’s New York headquarters by Cesar Sayoc last October. Other recipients included Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden
