Magnitude 6.1 jolts Davao de Oro
A magnitude 6.0 earthquake took place in Davao de Oro early Wednesday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology .The tremor occurred around 6:44 p.m. some 12 kilometers northeast of New Bataan, also in the province.Phivolcs said it had a depth of focus of 27kms and was tectonic in origin.Intensity 5 was felt in New Bataan while Intensity 4 in Davao City; and City of Bislig, Surigao del Sur.
Phivolcs said Intensity 1 was recorded in Esperanza and City of Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat.
