Officials said the death toll ranges between 16 and 22, with this number expected to rise, while more were injured.Maine State Police has urged the public to contact them if they have information on his whereabouts. “We are expanding the shelter in place advisory and school closings to include the town of Bowdoin,” Maine State Police announced on Facebook.
The entire police department in Lisbon, a 15 minute drive from the crime scene, were called in to close local businesses and keep the public safe, chief Ryan McGee said. “I had my back turned to the door. And as soon as I turned and saw it was not a balloon - he was holding a weapon - I just booked it,” he said.
