Dozens of residents have been forced to evacuate from their homes as two dangerous bushfires threaten lives and continue to burn in Queensland.
Locals living in Tara and Kogan, about 300 kilometres south-west of Brisbane, were told to leave immediately on Tuesday morning due to out of control fires.
Residents were advised to"immediately leave" and that"it will soon to be too dangerous to drive", if they chose to delay their evacuation.October 23, 2023 Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Acting Superintendent Peter Bradow said"several houses" had been affected, as his crews continued to fight the bushfires."I got down to where my place was and it was ablaze," he said.
