The supermarket giant made the huge announcement on Tuesday.
Joining its existing line-up are several new birthday-worthy cakes such as a chocolate birthday drip cake, a caramel cake layered with dulce de leche and a smash cake of treats inside a chocolate dome.
Other new creations include a lemon meringue tart, an oversized choc chip cookie pie and carrot cake muffins.A four-pack of carrot cake muffins is just one of the new bakery products at Woolies.Woolworths bakery merchandise manager Donald Keith said the products have been in the works for more than 18 months.“As part of that process we also ensured our customers were involved in providing feedback and tasting some of the range.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into our bakery range and a number of our products and cakes are also finished by hand, showing the care that goes into every bite in our bakery.”The new treats are available in stores from Tuesday.
