Services through Stockport will be cancelled, delayed or revised
All lines are currently blocked through the station due to a 'problem currently under investigation', according to National Rail. Services on the lines are expected to be cancelled, delayed or revised.
The disruption is expected until around 10am today . Train operators affected include Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Northern, TransPennine Express and Transport for Wales.Passengers have been urged to check before they travel. National Rail said: "A problem currently under investigation at Stockport all lines are currently disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 10:00.
In a post on X, TransPennine Express said: "Due to a problem currently under investigation between #Stockport and #HazelGrove all lines are blocked. Train services running through these stations may be delayed.Avanti West Coast said: "Due to a problem currently under investigation at Stockport, all lines are currently blocked. Trains travelling through here may be delayed or diverted via a different route.
