ScotRail blames 'more drivers than normal' being 'unavailable for rest day working' for the disruption as Network Rail said ScotRail would be running a 'significantly reduced' service on Sunday.
Glasgow ScotRail passengers are experiencing 'major disruption' as the operator blames a Sunday driver shortage.
Eight services are cancelled between Glasgow and Neilston, three between Glasgow Central and Lanark, and there are alterations on lines between Glasgow and Paisley, Gourock, Wemyss Bay, Kilmarnock and Ayr. On Saturday evening , ScotRail took to social media to warn passengers of the disruption. In the statement, the publically-owned firm said: "Unfortunately, due to the availability of drivers on Sunday, there are a number of cancellations to services.
