UNION CITY, N.J. -- A major gas leak in Union City , New Jersey has caused some residents to evacuate their homes. Police, fire and utility crews responded to the scene at the intersection of Summit Avenue and 26th Street, where the gas line ruptured Thursday morning.Evacuated resident heard a loud rumbleMultiple streets nearby were closed after witnesses said the gas line broke at around 9:30 a.m. One of the evacuated residents told CBS New York she heard a loud rumble.
