Traffic is being brought off the road
Police have closed part of a major Greater Manchester road at rush hour following an 'incident'. Officers are at the scene on the A666 St Peters Way, inThe road is currently closed southbound, between Bradford Street and Kearsley Island. Traffic is being diverted away from the road.
A spokesperson for North West Motorway Police tweeted: "There is currently a full closure on St Peters Way Southbound due to a police incident. Traffic being brought off at Bradford Street."There is a full closure between there and Kearsley Island. Northbound is open." Further details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed.
