An organised crime gang was busted on the M6 with thousands of pounds worth of cocaine. The drugs gang, who flooded millions of pounds worth of cocaine into the UK, have been jailed.
Officers from the Regional Organised Crime Unit uncovered that the four-strong drugs gang were transporting and distributing drugs in November 2022. A van hired by the group was stopped on the M6, and 130 kilograms of cocaine were found in the back, West Midlands Police said.Drugs found inside the van were in green refuse sacks, and the blocks themselves were stamped with the Latin phrase 'Alea Iacta Est' meaning 'the die is cast.
Mark Cheadle, 57, and Paul Patterson, 43, were later arrested after they were identified as the people who supplied the drugs to Brown and Piotrowski. All four men were charged and jailed on Wednesday, August 14.
