Traffic monitoring site Inrix reads: "A52 Brian Clough Way in both directions blocked, slow traffic due to police incident from M1 J25 to A6007 Ilkeston Road ."
In a tweet, National Highways said: "The A52 has been closed in both directions between the B6003 Bardills Roundabout and A6007 Bramcote Island near Bramcote, Nottingham due to a Nottinghamshire Police-led incident. Please allow extra journey time if travelling in the area this morning. Updates to follow."
