Immediately after the show a short but sweet teaser video showed 27/8/24 in the Oasis branding.
Seconds after Blossoms headline set at Wythenshawe Park drew to a close with their hit Charlemagne, a ten-second clip seemingly teasing the much-speculated Oasis reunion was played on the screen.
Earlier today, the Manchester Evening News revealed that a gig announcement is due in the next few days. It is believed that several outdoor gigs at Heaton Park will take place next summer, as well as dates at Wembley in London and Murrayfield in Scotland. And although it certainly seems promising that a full announcement on dates, venues and tickets seems imminent, this is not the first time an Oasis revival has felt close to coming off.
It comes ahead of the 30th anniversary of Oasis' seminal debut album Definitely Maybe next week, and Noel Gallagher even praised his younger brother's singing during an interview at legendary Manchester record shop Sifters in Burnage where the pair were regulars back in the day.
