A large police presence remains at Stockport Road in Levenshulme following an incident in the early hours
s. There was a large emergency service response to the incident close to the junction with Crayfield Road last night.
At least nine police cars and four ambulances were called to the scene. Armed police were also seen in the area. Pools of blood could be seen near to the steps of Wayne's convenience store along with emergency medical equipment. This morning a stretch of the busy road remains closed from Clare Road to Kevin Street.that at least one person had been taken to hospital in an ambulance under police escort. The exact nature of the incident is not year clear, or the condition of those involved.
Routes 191/192. A serious incident on the A6 Stockport Rd has closed the road on the junction of Marley Ave in Levenshulme. All services will be diverted via Broom Lane/Mount Rd & Matthews Lane in both directions until further notice.
