Another woman has told police she is the girl who's been missing since 1985.
A fourth person claiming to be a Pennsylvania woman missing since she was 8-years-old appeared to be discounted by police Thursday, despite officers not being able to talk to her.The woman made claims on social media in recent weeks that she was Cherrie Mahan, who disappeared after getting off her school bus in rural Winfield Township in February 1985.
Over the years, the claims have brought attention to a case which has remained open since that winter morning in 1985, with various PSP officers taking on the investigation since.The day Cherrie vanished, she was due home after school but never made it back from the bus stop.Her mother, Janice McKinney, has kept up hope that she will see her daughter again, but these latest updatess came as another blow.
