THE Makati City government has approved an ordinance promoting solar energy use in homes and businesses.
“The ordinance supports Makati’s goal of balancing economic growth with a healthy environment. It encourages the use of solar energy in commercial and residential buildings, enhancing energy efficiency, protecting the environment, and lowering energy costs for residents,” Binay explained. All ASES must have an electrical permit and comply with the National Building Code of the Philippines and other existing laws.
