The Malabon City local government recognized the city's top taxpayers during the “Gabi ng Pasasalamat” program held at the Malabon Sports Complex on Friday, April 28. | ManilaBulletin
The Gabi ng Pasasalamat, themed “Mula Tambobong hanggang lungsod ng Malabon: Salaysay ng Makulay na Kultura at Pagtungo sa Mayabong na Ekonomiya,” is the first awarding ceremony organized by the Malabon's City officials for the entrepreneurs in the city.
"The business sector plays a significant role in driving the development of a city. They provide essential goods and services, create job opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the local economy. They also generate revenue for the city through taxes and fees, which can be utilized to improve public services and infrastructure," she added.
"Your city has come a long way and achieved a milestone and you now have a hardworking mayor who is already inspiring, positive change in a short amount of time. With Mayor Jeannie's leadership, we look forward to a brighter future and to the best that is yet to come. Mabuhay po ang Malabon," Villar added.
The city government said sanitation is a major pillar to promote healthy communities as well as sustain tourism. The new application aims to help entrepreneurs in the city promote their business products and gain a wider market.
