University Heights police arrested a local man for allegedly assaulting a man and woman at a pet food store.
University Heights police arrested a Cleveland man for stealing more than $900 worth of electronics merchandise from Target.At 9:10 p.m. April 21, an employee of Geraci’s, 2266 Warrensville Center Road, got the attention of a police officer in the police department parking lot to report that a co-worker was in need of EMS help. The co-worker had been assaulted at a bus stop in front of Key Bank, 2185 Warrensville Center Road.
He said that a tall, chubby man demanded money from his in the bus shelter, then assaulted him. Police were unable to locate the suspect.At 4:35 p.m. April 15, police were dispatched to the University Square parking garage’s fourth floor where youths were attempting to throw carts over the railing and out of the garage. The teens also reportedly threw rocks at vacant buildings below.
At 9:15 a.m. April 16, a man, 43, reported that, during the previous overnight hours someone stole from his driveway, located in the 4300 block of University Parkway, his 2023 Hyundai Genesis SW.At 12:05 p.m. April 17, police were called to Target, 14070 Cedar Road, where loss prevention had detained a shoplifter, a Cleveland man, 27.The man is also the suspect in the April 2 theft from the store of two DVDs worth a combined $52.98.At 6 p.m.
At 10:50 a.m. April 21, officers were dispatched to the pet food store Hollywood Feed, 13932 Cedar Road, on a report of a physical altercation.
