A 23-year-old man has been charged after a woman was allegedly raped in a horrific attack in the city centre.
Police cordoned off an area in the city centre on Tuesday evening following a 'serious sexual assault' in the Howard Street area. A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped in the Howard Street area at around 8.20pm. Police remained at the scene until Wednesday as they investigated the incident.The force has confirmed a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of a serious sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman in the Howard Street area of Glasgow around 8.20pm on Tuesday, 14 March, 2023."He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 16 March, 2023.
