Michael McCann died in hospital
A man stabbed to death in Bolton can be named today as Michael McCann. Mr McCann, who was 35 and believed to be from the Bolton area, died following reports to police of a stabbing in The Haulgh area of the town, just outside Bolton town centre, last Friday evening.

Jordan Downes, 31, of no fixed abode, is charged with assisting an offender. Kelly Hughes, 37, of no fixed abode, is charged with obstructing police.In a statement on Sunday, GMP said: "This morning, two men and one woman were charged by police in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Bolton. Paul Simmons, 48, of Bradford Street, Bolton, is charged with murder.
