A man has been injured after a shooting in Sydney's west on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Esme Avenue at Chester Hill about 4.40pm after receiving reports that shots had been fired.
When police arrived, a 48-year-old man was found with minor injuries. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene. It is understood the man was shot in the chest and a woman was hit on the head with a baseball bat after a group of people allegedly forced their way inside a home, 9News reported."A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident," police said in a statement.
