An elderly man has died following a fatal pedestrian crash in regional New South Wales after a driver failed to stop and drove away after hitting the male.
An elderly man has died following a fatal pedestrian crash in regional New South Wales after a driver failed to stop and drove away after hitting the male.Authorities were alerted of a person lying on the middle of a countryside road near the city of Goulburn in the state’s south about 7.30pm on Monday.
Emergency services arrived at the location on Middle Arm Road to find an 80-year-old man with critical head injuries, which were consistent with those incurred from a vehicle collision. Picture: StockCrash investigators and detectives have launched a probe to trace the events in the lead-up to the incident and will also trace the man’s prior movements.
Members of the public are being urged to come forward with any relevant information relating to the crash, including those who may have been travelling along Middle Arm Road or surrounding streets at the time and may have dashcam footage.
