Gavin Plumb has appeared in court
A shopping centre security guard will stand trial accused of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder Holly Willoughby.
The charges indicate the defendant is accused of planning to assemble a “kidnap and restraint kit” and encouraging a third party to travel to the UK to carry out the alleged offences. He is accused of plotting to kidnap and murder former This Morning presenter Holly between October 2 and October 5.Mr Plumb, 36, was told he will stand trial from June 24 next year. He was charged on October 6 and remanded into custody.
After Mr Plumb was charged, Superintendent Tim Tubbs of Essex Police said: "This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges.
