Man admits causing nan's death in crash that also injured daughter and grandson
A DRIVER has admitted causing the death of a gran in a crash that injured her step-daughter and baby grandson as they walked to the pub.
Nicole Bowden, 48, was hit by Shane Bovey in a stolen Mercedes as she left home with her stepdaughter Emily Fox-Williams and her 11-month-old grandson.She had barely left the driveway when the Mercedes ploughed into herTragically, Nicole's husband Matthew Bowden found his wife dying in Dorset as he arrived at the scene first in a "cruel turn of fate".
Bovey today pleaded guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving of Nicole and aggravated vehicle taking. He is yet to enter pleas to two charges of causing serious injury by dangerous driving in relation to Emily and her son. Nicole had barely left the driveway when Bovey ploughed into her in the stolen Mercedes CLK320 convertible.
