He admits manslaughter but denies the murder of Claudiu-Carol Kondor
A man has admitted killing an Amazon delivery driver who died after his van was stolen in Leeds last month. Mark Ross, 32, appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Friday for a plea, trial and preparation hearing and admitted the charge of manslaughter, but denied murder.
In a desperate attempt to stop the theft, it is alleged he was partially dragged along the road as the thief accelerated away with Claudiu-Carol caught in the passenger door.Responding officers found Claudiu-Carol unconscious as residents tried to help him. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was declared dead at the scene.
His Honour Judge Mansell KC told Ross: "You will be kept in custody until your trial which will take place on the 4th March next year. You will be produced from prison to the Crown court.
