Stephen Owusu pleaded guilty days before he was due to go on trial accused of murder
A man has admitted killing his housemate during a disturbance at their home. Stephen Owusu, 22, killed 42-year-old Thomas Murphy at a property on Beverly Road in Fallowfield.
Prosecutors said Owusu's guilty plea was acceptable following reports into his mental health, and that they would not pursue a trial on the murder allegation. Owusu killed Mr Murphy, originally from Ireland, on September 24 last year.Police were called to the scene at about 6.40pm. Further details surrounding the killing have not yet been disclosed.
