The incident happened close to Bradford’s busy Forster Square train station A man has been arrested after a 22-year-old woman was killed in a crash near Bradford city centre. Police were called to the scene on Hamm Strasse in the West Yorkshire city at 4.37pm yesterday, after a blue BMW hit the pedestrian. She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and died a short time later. The scene of the crash, near the busy junction with Manningham Road, was closed off by investigators.
Detective Sergeant Mick Kilburn of West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision and Enquiry Team said: ‘We are continuing to investigate this very serious collision in which a young woman has tragically lost her life. ‘I would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of the collision, or the BMW just prior to it.’ Anyone who may be able to help is asked to contact the MCET by calling 101 and giving the reference number 1139 of November 4.
