The woman was struck in Glasgow city centre on Saturday night
The incident happened at around 11.50pm on Saturday, June 10 on Bell Street near its junction with Parsonage Square.
The pedestrian is said to be in a 'critical' condition after she was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she remains.Police Scotland launched an investigation into the incident and confirmed a 51-year-old man was arrested and released. A statement from the force reads: "A 51-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further enquiry after a woman was hit by a car in Glasgow.
