The road was closed in both directions for about seven hours

A woman was taken to hospital and a man was arrested following a road traffic collision on a main Nottinghamshire road. Officers were called to a two-vehicle crash at 6.28am on Wednesday, April 10, on the A614 Old Rufford Road.

The woman, aged in her 30s, has sustained injuries, however, these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering. The man, aged 41, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue, a spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police has confirmed. A statement from the force reads: "We were called at 6.28am this morning to a collision involving two cars on the A614 Old Rufford Road."A woman, aged in her thirties, was taken to hospital. Her injures are not believed to be lie-threatening or life-altering.

"The road was closed in the immediate aftermath of the incident but has since been reopened." The A614 Old Rufford Road was closed in both directions after the incident, which took place near Wheelgate Park and White Post Farm.
