Man arrested as victim in 'critical condition' after early hours Lytham assault
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after an assault in Lytham that left the victim in a critical condition. Lancashire Constabulary were called at 1.28am on Sunday to Henry Street to a report that a 25-year-old had been assaulted.
The victim was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition. This evening police arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm. He is currently in custody. A police spokesperson said: "Our investigation is still very much ongoing and we continue our appeal asking for witnesses and anyone who has information about the incident to come forward. Please contact 101, quoting log 0134 of June 18, 2023."
