Police Scotland has confirmed a 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of much-loved Shotts man, John Cairns - enquiries remain ongoing.
John Cairns, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found with serious injuries at a property in Shiel Gardens in Shotts at around 8.20am on Thursday, May 9.

"Around 8.20am on Thursday, 9 May, 2024, officers were called to a report of a man being found seriously injured at a property in Shiel Gardens, Shotts."Enquiries are ongoing."
