Police Scotland confirmed today that a 42-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the death of Chic Wilson who was found at a flat in Tontine Park last weekend.
Charles Wilson, known locally as Chic, was found dead inside the Tontine Park property on Saturday morning.After the blaze was extinguished, Chic's body was discovered inside a bedroom.A major probe has been launched and top detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team are leading the case.
A spokeswoman said: "Following an investigation into the death of Charles Wilson in Renton, officers have arrested a 42-year-old man. Enquiries are continuing."His body was discovered the following morning and police want to speak to anyone who may have seen, or spoke to him between these hours. “Door-to-door enquiries have been carried out and officers continue to gather relevant CCTV footage for any more information that could assist in tracing whoever is responsible for this murder.
“I’m aware the local community will be concerned by this incident and I would like to stress that everything is being done to catch whoever is responsible.
