The undercover investigation was launched after residents reported seeing suspicious flyers posted on utility poles advertising a website selling clothing and seeking partners to 'cuddle' and 'drink'
A 48-year-old man was arrested in an undercover operation last week on suspicion of soliciting sex from a minor in Lemon Grove, officials said. The man was arrested Wednesday after a group of citizens brought detectives several postings that had been affixed to utility poles in Lemon Grove advertising a website. The postings claimed to be selling various items, including women's clothing, as well as looking for partners to 'cuddle' and 'drink,' sheriff's Sgt.
A member of the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force posed as a 16-year-old girl and answered the advertisement. The detective was then solicited for sex acts, Clark said. The man arranged to meet with the decoy for sex and when he arrived at the meeting location, detectives arrested the man. The human trafficking task force is asking the public to notify them if anyone else has been victimized or seen similar ads posted in other areas of San Diego County.
