A man has been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment after a woman was held for 17 hours in a flat in Birmingham.
Specialist officers and negotiators were called to a property in Tarrant Grove, Quinton, as the situation emerged at around 5pm on Friday evening. Armed police were deployed at around 9am on Saturday as the man was allegedly still refusing to release the woman.The man gave himself up voluntarily at around 10.30am today, police said.
