The 36-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital following the assault with officers from Police Scotland cordoning off a tenement flat in Govanhill.
The incident happened at around 4.15pm on Garturk Street in Govanhill on Wednesday . A property on the road was taped off with multiple officers from Police Scotland at the scene outside the tenement flat.
Police now confirmed a 36-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital following the assault.
