A MAN punched and kicked his teenage daughter before stabbing another man who came to her aid.
The man, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, had been within a property in Burndyke Court in Govan at around 9.30pm on April 23, 2023.His daughter was also within the property at this time.
The man then woke up and went into the kitchen. On returning from the kitchen he was involved in a short argument with his daughter.The teenager headed along Govan Road and around 20 minutes later saw her father outside of Burndyke Court.At this time a neighbour heard a disturbance outside and looked out of a window.Another man asked him to stop hitting the young girl and attempted to intervene.
He also admitted to assaulting a man by repeatedly striking him on the body with an open razor or similar bladed implement.The defence solicitor said: “He has never had any sort of grief counselling for the trauma he suffered.Sheriff Jonathan Guy sentenced the man to one year of supervision with a conduct requirement to engage with alcohol services.Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
