A 21-year-old man faces court on Christmas Eve following the death of 33-year-old Jamie Lucas in Airdrie. Police are continuing their investigation and appealing for information.

A man has been charged following the death of 33-year-old Jamie Lucas in Airdrie . Emergency services rushed to Stirling Street at around 2.45am on Sunday and found Jamie injured. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later. A 21-year-old man was arrested and has since been charged in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24).
