Man charged after horror collision on the M66 left woman and three children seriously hurt
The Greater Manchester Police serious collision investigation unit have charged a man after a collision on the M66 motorway.
A woman and three children are in hospital with serious injuries following the crash between junction 3 and 4 on Saturday afternoon .Adil Iqbal of Hope Street, Accrington has been charged with three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court tomorrow .
Sergeant Matt Waggett from GMP Serious Collision Investigation Unit said yesterday: "I would like to thank the members of the public who selflessly helped at the scene and called 999, as well as those who assisted when police and emergency services arrived on scene."
