A man has been charged over his alleged role in the death of Taha Sabbagh, who was gunned down as he dropped his son off at a gym in the city's south west.
The 26-year-old man was arrested by Homicide Squad detectives about 3.30pm Sunday before he could board a flight out of Sydney International Airport.
In the early hours of March 2, Mr Sabbagh was shot dead as he dropped his 12-year-old son off at Sefton's Elite Fight Force, in the city's south west. Emergency services rushed to the scene where they found the 40-year-old on the ground in the mixed martial arts parking lot with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
