After a close call mid-week, Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor says his players must 'earn their stripes' when they return to Women's Super League action when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the Joie Stadium on Sunday, November 12.
“I thought there were some really good parts in the way that we played. Liverpool surprised us a little bit that they didn't come out and engage full pressure as we expected them to, but that's a compliment to us. Last weekend, the Seagulls gave local rivals Manchester United a significant hassle. They went ahead twice in the game but United brought it back level at 2-2 courtesy of a stoppage-time goal. “Of course, it's a good game for us to have and it's one we’re looking forward to back on our home soil.”
