Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has dubbed Khadija Shaw "one of the best players" in the Women's Super League following the striker's stellar individual season for the Blues.
"You know the number of goals she scored, the contributions she has in both goals and assists," Al Mubarak said, reflecting on the 27-year-old's stellar form. The City chairman also opened up on the progression of the women's game after a season in which more than 40,000 fans went to watch the Blues take on Manchester United at the Etihad. “If you sit with my daughter right now and you ask her who's your favourite player? She'll answer you, female or male? Great," he said.
