Man City kick-off their season against Chelsea on Sunday.
Oscar Bobb was player of the match in Man City’s Community Shield win Manchester City will begin the new season without one of their brightest talents after Oscar Bobb suffered a bad leg injury. Bobb has long been touted for the top and after an impressive pre-season and performance in the Community Shield, it seemed he would have a big part to play for the Premier League champions.
A costly blow for Pep Guardiola’s side Bobb has only made 27 senior appearances in his club career, scoring two goals and making three assists, but he was incredibly prolific for City’s youth teams and has two goals in eight caps for his country. The injury may well prompt Guardiola to delve into the transfer market as Bobb had been expected to effectively replace Julian Alvarez’s role in the side after the Argentine departed for Atletico Madrid in an £82million transfer.
