Latest Manchester City transfer news and gossip as RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo continues to be linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium
Olmo is currently starring for Spain at Euro 2024 and recently helped his country reach the semi-final. Spain claimed a 2-1 victory over hosts Germany on Friday afternoon in extra time to reach the last four.
Olmo has been linked with a move away from Leipzig for several months, with City and Liverpool being credited with an interest in the past. Olmo wears the No.7 shirt with Leipzig and it's because of that fact that City could have an advantage in the battle to sign the forward. Joao Cancelo currently wears the same number for City, but there are increased expectations that the Portugal international could leave the Etihad Stadium permanently this summer after loans at Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Olmo's future is unlikely to change while Spain are competing at Euro 2024. The victory over Germany means that Olmo's involvement at the tournament will continue into next week, as Spain will host France in their semi-final after their win over Portugal.
